What or who deserves a praise

Hari! Om!

We all like to be praised. And also like to flatter. But praising those who don't deserve praise, or praising a person, with a view to gaining power, position or wealth through the person, is most undesirable.

Only the deserving should be praised, and in this category would come the devotees of the The Almighty. We would do well to read the works of devotees, that we come across, singing in praise of The Almighty.

Many of the devotees when singing in praise of The Almighty also tell us how we should approach the path of liberation. The message is we should be generous with our wealth and give to those who are needy. We should shed our pride and control our senses.

It is not easy to be humble. We make our mind to be so but hold on to our pride like leaches. The pride is such a hazard to us that it blinds us like veil from the concerns for others, to reality and carries us far into our ways.

The true nature of things is mistaken in this world like how we mistake a rope for a snake. We firmly believe that our body alone matters and never think of the immortal soul. Ultimately, what happens is we are confused about what is perishable and what is not.

As we are preoccupied with the needs of our body,with our senses, we have no time for higher ideals. Someone said, "The way to sorrow is desire". Our five senses have us in control, instead of we controlling them.

We have a host of gross examples of various animals or plants, on how they behave in fear of danger. But as Human Beings, we are the only species at least on this Earth who have the gift of Thinking Faculties with Choice of Action, from The Almighty. And we need to use these in controlling our senses when in danger on the path of our higher goal.

Only when we have our senses in control, shed our pride, sing in praise of The Almighty and each other, we would be free of the entanglements  of birth & death cycles and gain liberation.

Assurance of Almighty's Grace

We all do puja, by chanting mantras, slokas, offering fresh flowers, lighting incense sticks, camphor etc to appease The Almighty, contended under the impression  that we are very liberal in our rituals, focus and thus have His blessings for fulfilment of our deluded needs in the Material World.

If one looks at it from another angle, without an Ego and all humility, we get these questions. Who are we after all and what is it that we can truly offer to The Supreme ( Please don't get carried away by the term, we need to look beyond all these) as our own.

The water, or the milk, the food or the fruits etc whatsoever for the Abhisekham, Puja or Havan everything is from the nature, the creation or un-creation  of The Almighty including all life forms. The nature offerings are symbolic of the REMINDER to us of what we actually can offer.

So what is it that we can offer to the phenomenon or concept or philosophy as God?What as "Human Beings", the highest level of life form, we can offer is true love, devotion, admiration, respects that are something, "out of the world" and thus live up to the true levels of Human Status.

We may offer so many or rather infinite number of the material things as offerings to HIM without an iota of any of the aforesaid true offerings. But Devotion or Bhakthi  emanates out of no expectation of any "return gift"  and not out of any expression of worldly wealth,pride,power, position, prejudice,envy or jealousy.

Our Atman is like a Charioteer. Our Bhudhdhi or Intellect is like a Director or Doer. Our Life is like the Chariot. Our Mind is like the Horses driving the Chariot. We need to use our Intellect  and carry our Atman smoothly on the Chariot to reach our Master, The Almighty by driving the Horses using its Reins or Leashes in total control of the Intellect ( The Bhudhdhi). The Reins are the desires out of which emanates our pride, arrogance, delusion. If the Reins are not in control the Horses or the Mind  can go berserk and ruin the Chariot or Life.

The humble worship of the Almighty, taking our lives along smoothly only can assure us of HIS grace.

REQUEST FOR PARTICIPATION

Hari! Om! I have shared a number of posts here as well as on Face book or Blogger in general, however regret have no feed back. I look forward to active & aggressive participation with offer of views, comments, advices, suggestions, criticisms  or heated and meaning full debate or discussion, to make any further posts'. Jai! ACTIVE SUPPORT FOR PD ASSOCIATION

Well Ladies & Gentlemen of the PD! I have seen all the "lovely wishes".In this process of communicating wishes, sweet pleasantries, let us not forget its "AN ASSOCIATION", that we are talking about, which means to associate. Hope we all still remember "the property of Associativity" that supposedly we all studied in our elementary school Mathematics. For the ready reference here it is again; a + b = b + a; a*b = b*a. This literally means we need to interact or exchange support etc beyond any restrictions or worldly conditions. NOW THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE, NOW PLEASE DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY WITH IT OR GET INVOLVED IN IT. MANY OF US MAY HAVE VERY MANY WONDERFUL EXAMPLES MORE RELEVANT, ITS ONLY TO DRIVE HOME THE POINT. It may be we are focusing on our PD Community now ( due to realization of the Importance of the Oneness Feeling, that we apparently feel, is possible only with People with whom we share certain commonalities, with our conditioned and prejudiced Mind). However, this is misconstrued.This attitude could also be our Neighborhood, Colony, Area, Town, City, State, Region, Country, The Continent, Why, even the World of People also. Well coming back to our subject of our PD Community, let us all question ourselves independently including this COMMENTATOR,and share the analysis between us, how associative am I, or How interactive, how supportive or how communicative or how outspoken or how OPEN I am with the MIND? And what is that I feel about anything or anyone beyond MY SO CALLED PHYSICAL BODY? Am I very possessive about my physical body and indifferent beyond its boundaries? Or Am I possessive about both Or Am I Rather Indifferent about both.What is that I am capable of doing for anything or something beyond myself, for the society or community?Anything as a deed or as a thought with a selfless attitude is in itself Noble. So let us not restrict our thought process itself. We all need to have sessions of Introspection and retrospection and share through interactions. That's how we all need to go about it all. AND THEN ONLY WE CAN THINK OF A SUCCESS OF AN ASSOCIATION. IT ISN'T A ONE MAN SHOW. AN ASSOCIATION IS SOMETHING OF A MORE THAN ONE INDIVIDUAL. Of course we all know it all. In fact there may many among us who could write volumes of books through sheer knowledge. But the point is how much is the application in life and how aware I am of the concept at any random point of time. That would indicate us What we are actually, Where we are,Where we need to go and How far we need to go. SO TO CONCLUDE, LET US ALL PUT CONCERTED EFFORT FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE ASSOCIATION OR THE COMMUNITY (THE SUPER SET)ITSELF. I also thank one and all for lending their valuable time out of busy schedule for giving a patient reading of this unusually lengthy comment in these columns. JAI ! HIND!
