SAVING SANSKRIT / INDIAN TRADITION TO REGAIN LOST VALUES

This post is just a REMINDER or WAKE-UP CALL, in continuation to some comments recently exchanged on the subject, in Face book. This was in reaction to Indian Government’s plan to declare SANSKRIT as a dead language, based on a Population Census of SANSKRIT users.

We really don’t know what is the motive behind the plan and what is going to be the Achievement & urgency for the same. There are so many issues and problems to be dealt with. In fact there are SOLUTIONS to most if not all of the issues, in the SANSKRIT SCRIPTURAL TEXTS and we gain all the SPIRITUAL ( Management in the “so called” & “advanced” Modern world) values from them for ETERNITY, as they are for ALL TIME.

The Indian polity, is going in for a RANSOM at the cost of losing the Heritage, Culture, Values, Valuables of the Great Bharat to the Western World, especially with loyalties to NRIs', their glorification ( I don't mean Non-Resident Indians) and acute lack of Patriotism & Individuality.

THIS IS NOTHING NEW, ITS BEEN GOING ON FROM TIME IMMEMORIAL, AND ALL IN THE NAME OF " ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA" and deceived from its true & depth of the meaning.

Its true that Sanskrit is a very precious language, a torch bearer of the Age Old Indian Tradition. Its depths are much much beyond any of the contemporary or post-contemporary. The all time high values of Sanskrit, the Indian Tradition and their Foundations & Basements in the Indian Sub-continent have suffered, for over Centuries & Millenniums Foreign exploitations, resulting in dilution of the values prevalent then to the levels of what we have now, all out of MIS-CONCEPTION & MIS-INTERPRETATION of the age old & very popular Sanskrit slogan of the Indian tradition, " ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA".

We are only to be blamed for all this situation. The paradox is the Exploiters have a better aerial & insight of the Tradition than we Custodians, Protectors, Developers & Valuers of the tradition, to know how to exploit. To convince on this point, an example of our present times is we have more & better masters of the Tradition & Sanskrit in Non-Indians.

The greatness of the Tradition, the Communicator (Sanskrit) & THEIR DEPTHS are such that when in suffering the exploitations, it maintained & maintains and will maintain an attitude of a SACRIFICIAL ANODE.A person with basic knowledge of electro-chemistry can very well understand, what a sacrificial anode means. Nevertheless, what it means in simple language is, IT PROTECTS THE OTHER(CATHODE) IN THE PROCESS OF ITSELF ( ANODE) GETTING DESTROYED OR EATEN AWAY. The Nature is also of the same attitude, A Mother is of the same attitude towards the Child. We as the Child of the Mother or the Nature or the Tradition or Sanskrit what are we doing?

We have allowed the torch to extinguish and are facilitating to DECLARE SANSKRIT AS DEAD. Its our duty to protect the tradition and unless Sanskrit is protected through its spread, the Indian Tradition would not remain & continue to our Future. Now that we are aware that we are NOT AWARE of the VALUES, why not we all together be on the job of re-gaining / re-inculcating the values, the tradition, the Mastery of Sanskrit. Everyone should be taught, educated on Sanskrit, its values, its importance, use in the present times. The Indian Tradition is a WAY OF LIFE & Sanskrit is the Communicator, the facilitator, the Carrier much much beyond any thing that we take refuge in, in the present times.

We come across, Sales Representatives, Medical Representatives, PREACHERS, canvassing for their products or attempting to spread their philosophies. Why not we take it as our prerogative to protect the TRADITION because it is in DISTRESS. In fact it is our responsibility now, as we are the culprits. Just because the Mother endures the child, it doesn't mean the child should take advantage or misuse the endurance. Let us frame an attitudinal "motto" of getting into Core Indian Tradition Influence.

The Ground Reality, from where we have to begin is,

Present day life Sanskrit is rarely used in day to day life. Only English and foreign languages  used in professions. At the same it is not fair on our part to ignore Sanskrit as we do not ignore our mother just because she has become old. ( A comment / concern from a learned friend)

The idea is actually to catch the values in there for LIFE & LIVING and not MERELY attach ourselves to the language / tradition or the philosophy. This itself is made clear in there because as Human Beings we are prone to get attached to anything GROSS even, due to our EMOTIONAL SELF. When we can attach to anything gross, then what to say when in session with such deepest of the deepest Subjects.

The young India, now the maximum population of the land are in the age group of 20-30 years, are the supposed and POTENTIAL SAVIOURS’ OF THE INDIAN TRADITION, SANSKRIT and all that is in there. India has all along been ruthlessly, influenced and exploited by foreigners, even to-day, including the TRADITION etc, only because of the Weakness Concept of “Athithi Devo Bhava” & taking PRIDE IN ANYTHING WESTERN. Rather the foreigners are clever enough to convert the other’s Value or weakness as their Strength to exploit.

Pray!  Let the Saviors’ get all the Strength & Energy, Knowledge & Wisdom, Action & Dynamism and Patience to peacefully carry forward the Tradition to the future.
