Scriptural / Sacred Texts, Why to study?

Hari πŸ•‰ ! Very Good Morning! πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ«‘πŸ™‚.

Very nice & true educative experience exchange, I suppose. Though, I couldn't read the original Telugu post.

This is a really interesting, an out of the gross mundane subjects, generally people are dwelling into.

If I am on the wrongπŸ‘‡, beg your pardon& honoured, learned, wise persona, may kindly enlighten me with correct & relevant understanding of the concept.

What my humble self , opines with limited knowledge level, is that, all these scriptures or sacred texts convey us, to *look within our inner Infinite self.*

Our entry into this Material Plane itself means, we all are full of impurities @ birth. And on top of it everytime and all through we are conditioned to the systems & environmental surroundings.Thus *adding up on the impurities.*

And so to suit the people mindset, with deep research and insight the Enlightened Masters of yore from time to time have prescribed the sacred texts for *study & practice with an attitude of surrender & sradhdha, as a purification process.*

Only then we are eligible to look within;

reflect and do the Inner Engineering;

 be renounced as we are conducting our various duties in the world;

Elevate & finally sublimate ourselves for a non-return exit.

As otherwise, we would be only caught up in the world with pursuits of materials, name, fame, pleasures & other such trivialities with aspirations of physical & visual results/ achievements, be judgemental, considering ourselves as super controllers of our lives.

The same attitude would reflect in our spiritual pursuits as well, including study of the scriptures/ sacred texts/vedas.

Rather, in spiritual pursuits we need to be *out of the world of material plane & its conditioning @ the Mental Level,* Else our pursuits are futile and a wild goose chase.

As pointed out by yourself, it's all left to the wisdom imbibed from studies. Humbly, would like to add that the knowledge applied, put into practice of successful action is wisdom.

Jai Hind! Jai Sanathana Dharma! Jai PD CommunityπŸ‘πŸ«‘πŸ™‚πŸ™

BACKGROUND POST

My opinion of Hindu puranic and ithihasa contents is that the scriptures might have undergone a tremendous turbidity and lots of local variations and interpolations and replacements were introduced into several versions of them ...And also the Vyasa is not a single person and could be an institution and thus several incorporations could have occurred....

Where as In the contrary...the Vedas the ultimate store of wisdom and knowledge were constructed and established in such a meter and complex system of Krama Jata Ghana patterns of recitations no human intervention is possible to alter them or modify them or embedd or interpolate.

And thus they are the ultimate Authority over any matter so that Dharma sastras should have to work under the umbrella of Vedas only.

Coming to your query of the variations in the stories are *reflections* of the individual and collective *Ego* s of the different theologys and theolagists in the name of Vishnu superiority Siva Superiority or Sakthi Superiority and they have embedded their own versions,(submitting even respectfully to those who could have visualised through their inner manifestation).

So it is our choice and wisdom to apply *Hamsa Ksheera Neera Nyayam* for the veracity of such situations or stories....But the debates on such things will provide a *new eye* in the path of explorations .πŸ˜€
