Independence Day or Dependence Day & its Celebration

" Independence Day"

Hari! Om!

Its' India's 64th Independence Day Anniversary. All Indians are in for , a "Virtual Celebration".

No doubt, we are independent from the erstwhile British Imperialism but only to be dependent on something  or someone else. It's like "ENERGY", which is said to be neither lost or gained but only converted from one form to another. The dependence has changed hands.

As every anniversary, there is the same stereo jubilation. In fact if not  in anything else there is ever IMPROVEMENT in the kind or extravagance of celebration. During the moments of the celebration, all are oblivious of the actual fact  that we are not yet free of the Communal Atrocities, Political Sycophancy, Poverty , Corruption, Population increases, Inflation rise, Terrorism, Big Brother Supremacy by so called Super Powers ( Cannot be any more, now) Cultural Invasions, Cheap Entertainment as CINEMA or Television, Media exposure of SCAMS, Material, Social & Worldly Pleasures. Ironically, we are INDEPENDENTLY in encouragement of all these, in the name of Democracy or the clauses of the  Constitution laid, with all the independence to mis-use or misinterpret etc etc.

Cell Phones, Internet and very significantly the FACEBOOK itself, why even the very ordinary thing as Polythene bags ( Keesh, in Arabic) are all our SUPERINTENDENTS.

I don't understand what is achieved by this "so called" celebration and exchange of "so called" wishes, is it only to convince our selves that we are all independent by a soliloquy? And what is all the celebration just its mechanical rituals / symbolism. I don't say this should not be there, we definitely can and should.

A true celebration would be to soulfully think of all the people personalities who sacrificed their lives for the Country, for its freedom and to make our FUTURE. Follow the foot steps / principles of those with the present  / future issues and problems in our times, use the modern technology & communication channels to inspire with anecdotes of the past personalities, do original welfare and AT LEAST salvage our country for the future. We thus attempt to free ourselves of all these worldly attributes.

I perceive this day as a message to keep reminding  us that in actual there is nothing we can be independent of. I don't think there could be anyone who can honestly claim independence from any of the above or whatever that is relevant to this world. There is always a  total dependence  on one another, the nature etc.

The material world's primary characteristic is dependence and right from anyone's  entry into this world, his or her dependency begins by way of the conditions of the world and the consciousness  we develop etc etc.

Reader! please don't get  misconstrued. There is nothing wrong in INTER DEPENDENCE within this world, this in itself is a state of independence. In fact it helps in elevating ourselves, free us all of our egos, indispensability etc etc.

For that matter, a true independence would only be the Ultimate Liberation and that state definitely is not dependent on any celebration. This can only be achieved by universal brotherhood or love and service to all, purify ourselves and thus get liberated from this world. In fact it is not an achievement its only a state of being, when one is independent of all with humility and all dependent on the ONE.

So on this Anniversary Day, the only celebration that can be is to try and be The Personalities may be improve on them guided by the present / future requirements or trends, feedback from the world, maintaining all due regards to all the personalities & their contributions with a humble disposition.
