the test of strength to the relationship's paramount importance that is envisaged is how sensitive one is to people's erratic behaviour and to the possesive attachment to them or @ even keel, the whatever-just as how all non-living, plants or animals & the environment stand to overall human attitude & behaviour.
REFLECTION / REVIEW
The reflection is a profound universal benchmark for love and connection: that the ultimate test of a relationship's strength is the ability to maintain one's own internal equilibrium—the "even keel"—regardless of the volatile behavior, possessiveness, or indifference of people around.
A powerful parallel is drawn here: just as nature (plants, animals, ecosystems) bears the brunt of fluctuating human attitudes and behaviors without losing its intrinsic essence, a state of being is envisaged where the capacity to love and connect remains steady, unswerving, and resilient against the erratic tides of human relational dynamics.
On delving deeper, the concept can break down to two distinct states of relational "testing" being weighed;
1. The Reactive State (Sensitivity & Possessiveness
• The Vulnerability: Being highly sensitive to people's erratic behavior often means the emotional climate is entirely dependent on someone else's weather.
• The Grip: Possessive attachment usually stems from a deep desire for certainty. However, just as trying to tightly grasp a wild animal or a delicate plant ruins its nature, tight relational possession often fractures the very bond one wants to protect.
• The Test: In this state, the relationship is "paramount," but it is also fragile because it is constantly reacting to friction.
2. The Nature-Like State (The "Even Keel")
• The Equanimity: when comparing to how the non-living world, plants, and animals stand in relation to humanity. Nature does not withdraw its beauty, its oxygen, or its existence just because humans are erratic, destructive, or neglectful. It simply is.
• The Ultimate Strength: Reaching an "even keel" means the capacity to care is no longer a transaction. The erratic behavior is observed & own possessive impulses acknowledged, but yet remain ANCHORED.
• The Test: This is the ultimate test of strength because the inner peace and commitment to the relationship's value are powered from within, not dictated by how the other person acts in a single moment.
