*How to manouvre ageing* with courtesy from Sri Thirupathur R Sadasivan Ji, the author of this piece
Old age arrives quietly bringing with it inevitable physical, emotional and social changes. A sort of loneliness, declining health, shrinking relationships and loss of social relevance can trouble seniors and these realities have to be faced with understanding and courage.
Just as daylight slowly fades into night, life after sixty moves into a quieter phase. Acceptance, self-reflection, emotional balance and inner strength become essential.
The elderly have to embrace solitude without despair, care for health and finances wisely, remain grateful and loosen attachments.
Ageing is natural and unavoidable. Walking calmly with time’s flow, rather than resisting it, leads to dignity, peace and spiritual readiness for life’s final journey.
There is a beautiful novel entitled *The Sky Gets Dark Slowly* by a Chinese writer Joe Daxin. Do read this and share a pdf version (if any of you have one) in our pdf books group to guide many of our members who are destined to become old in course of time.
